Sponsored by SAP, Accenture, Agilita, itesys, Transformation Consulting International, and AMAG, the 2023 summit was destined to be the biggest and most successful Digital Lounge@Lakeside yet. An incredible number of inspiring talks, panels, keynote sessions, and discussions were packed into the three-day program which attracted over 200 attendees.
An advocate for training and nurturing the tech-minded younger generations, DMI welcomed universities and young talents to the Hackathon kick-off on Day One of the Digital Lounge at the beautiful Seeburg Castle in Kreuzlingen, Switzerland.
AI Innovations: With 20+ Partners and 2 Olympic Champions
Meanwhile, over 20 of DMI’s partners gathered to network and hear How SAP Helps Enterprises to Innovate, by Eva Zauke, Executive Vice President, Global Head of SAP Enterprise Adoption, SAP SE. Our very own CEO, Thomas Failer, also spoke to partners about Data Strategy, Digital Campus, AI, and New Innovations looking at how AI is used in data migration, such as with the Data Reduction Potential Analysis (DRPA) and the JiVS Business Object Network Designer (BOND). These two pioneering AI innovations are currently under development and are set to be ground-breaking in the realm of data migration and understanding an organization’s potential to reduce data and costs. Partners also heard from DMI’s Chief Revenue Officer Tobias Eberle and Chief Innovation Officer Peter Schönenberger who gave a deep dive into OCC as well as partnering and marketing strategies. Last but not least, Olympic ski champions and co-founders of Trainpub – Jason Rüesch and Dario Cologna – shared their insights into Winning with Data, explaining how data is used to optimize athletes’ performance.
From the moment the guests arrived on Day Two, they were treated to a plethora of panels, keynote sessions, and talks, beginning with the main keynote session by Cornelia Schaurecker, Visionary AI and Data Leader, Global Advisor, and former AI+ Data Leader at Vodafone, who shared insights into AI-driven Business Value at Pace and Scale: How to Create and Scale AI Products, MLOPs, and Generative AI with High Adoption and AI Ethics in Mind. Cornelia explained her approach to AI safety and the importance of using AI ethically through regulatory compliance, privacy, and security. Transformation expert and metaverse and XR explainer Isabel Steinhoff introduced Panel I: The Future Has Arrived, it’s All About Innovation, Data, and Artificial Intelligence, attracting a huge amount of interest, as did Panel II: Digital Transformation in an Intelligent Enterprise, moderated by Klaus Straub, CIO of the Decade, entrepreneur, and former CIO of BMW. Other topics on the Day Two agenda ranged from the metaverse, sustainability, and e-commerce to simplifying the transformation to SAP S/4HANA, the use of private 5G networks to connect assets, agile organizational development, and design thinking.
The day ended with a delightful flying dinner accompanied by drinks and soothing DJ melodies, all set against the enchanting backdrop of Lake Constance.
Day Three of the Digital Lounge@Lakeside Summit was all about fun. Like every year, the guests and their partners joined the DMI team to enjoy cocktails and dinner, watch the spectacular Fantastical fireworks display over Lake Constance, and chat and dance until the early hours.
So what’s next for the Digital Lounge? Over the next 12 months, DMI will host several smaller Digital Lounge events across Europe, but based on the feedback from those who joined us for the 2023 Summit, it’s clear that people are eagerly waiting to find out what the 2024 Summit will bring!
