After two years of virtual events, it felt fantastic to be back in person at SAP Sapphire surrounded by familiar and new faces from the global SAP community. And with visionary leaders, inspiring talks, and insights into transformational technologies around SAP S/4HANA, the 2022 events in Orlando and Zurich certainly didn’t disappoint. DMI were invited along to network with fellow thought leaders and influencers who are helping to shape the digital transformation. Here’s a quick round-up from the two days on both sides of the Atlantic.
Enabling Intelligent Enterprises in Orlando
SAP Sapphire is always the perfect opportunity to connect with customers, partners, and SAP experts, and this year was no exception. The Orlando event in May – the first of a nine-city global tour – was kicked off by members of the SAP Executive Board who shared the company’s strategy and vision. Our CMO, Tom Pfister, and Data Migration Expert, Jean-Marc Pestoni, enjoyed plenty of inspiring discussions and were delighted to show SAP’s leadership, executives, and partners how the JiVS Information Management Platform supports SAP’s strategy in enabling intelligent enterprises through smart data migration.
With time running out before the SAP S/4HANA conversion deadline and companies closely monitoring their budgets, there was particular interest in learning how JiVS IMP radically speeds up data migration while massively reducing operational costs.
Showcasing Fast Data Migration in Zurich
This year, we were joined at our SAP Sapphire booth in Zurich in June by our customer Hawle Armaturen AG who is already reaping the benefits of fast data migration with JiVS IMP. Marc Veraguth, Head of ICT – CTO of Hawle, and Thomas Failer, CEO of Data Migration International, explained how Hawle’s data was successfully migrated from Axis ERP to SAP S/4HANA in just three months using our simple One Click Transformation approach. Customers, partners, and other members of the SAP community were fascinated to learn how quick and easy the process was, and how JiVS helped the valve manufacturer overcome typical data migration challenges, manage its legacy information, and support it on its digital transformation journey. What’s more, the many insightful roundtables and wider discussions around innovations, cloud technology, AI, and automation were a great source of inspiration for our team.
Although virtual events have become an innovative and rich experience, and certainly proved to be invaluable during the pandemic, we welcomed the return to in-person events. SAP Sapphire 2022 offered the best of both worlds, with a virtual experience allowing people to connect online. But there’s nothing we enjoy more than the opportunity to explain face to face how JiVS supports agile business transformation, and to network and re-connect with like-minded people who share the same passion for innovation, and the same desire to drive change. We’re already preparing for SAP Sapphire 2023!
